Question 1

Is Ghreetam genuinely A2 ghee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It's made only from indigenous Gir cow milk, which produces A2 beta-casein — never crossbred or buffalo milk, and never blended.

Question 2

How do I know it isn't adulterated?

Accepted Answer

We publish our lab reports in full — screening for vegetable oil, starch, moisture and more. We have not sent a batch for testing yet, and the Lab Reports page says so plainly rather than showing you a sample.

Question 3

Why does the texture change with the seasons?

Accepted Answer

Pure ghee is grainy and golden in cooler months and smooth and liquid in summer. Both are normal — and a sign of purity, not a defect.

Question 4

Where does the milk come from?

Accepted Answer

From 40+ partner families in the Gir region of Gujarat. Their indigenous Gir cows are grass-fed and free-grazed.

Question 5

What is the bilona method?

Accepted Answer

We culture milk into curd, hand-churn that curd into butter, and slow-simmer it into ghee — never extracting directly from cream. It takes more milk and time, and it's the only way to get the aroma and grain.

Question 6

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

Orders are dispatched within 24 hours and typically arrive in 3–6 business days across India. Shipping is complimentary on orders of ₹999 or more.

Question 7

Do you ship internationally?

Accepted Answer

We currently ship across India, with select international destinations coming soon. Join our newsletter to hear first.

Question 8

What's your return policy?

Accepted Answer

Tell us within 48 hours of delivery if a jar arrives damaged, leaking, wrong or expired, and we will replace it or refund you in full. Taste, colour and texture vary between batches, so those are not grounds for a return. Full details on our Returns page.

Question 9

Does ghee need refrigeration?

Accepted Answer

No. Keep it at room temperature, away from sunlight, with a dry spoon. It stays good for 12 months from packaging.

Question 10

Is it safe for babies and pregnant women?

Accepted Answer

Pure A2 ghee is traditionally one of the first foods given to infants. As always, consult your physician for your specific situation.
